Tokyo Friends of the Zoo

Animals and Zoos
Fall 2018 issue (No.712)

This is a report on the care of the newly born Western Gorilla, Riki, as he grows up while interacting with his two older sisters.
At director roundtable discussion, the four director from Ueno, Tama, Kasai, and Inokashira zoos spoke freely about "education" at their zoos.
In addition, we will report on Shuttles Hoppfish conservation efforts at Tokyo Sea Life Park which involve collaboration between multiple facilities, and the changes in Inokashira Pond following three dredgings.
