Animals and Zoos
Summer 2018 issue (No.711)
We will bring you a report on how endangered species such as the Ogasawara grass butterfly and Rock Ptarmigan are bred and raised in zoos in Tama and Ueno.
We will also introduce an initiative at Ueno Zoo that focuses on the food of Japanese Macaque, and the surprising evolution that allows baby animals to survive when born prematurely.
