Breeding and Exhibition Section

Animal husbandry and exhibition work

In the breeding and exhibition area, we strive to maintain the health of our exhibited animals and create breeding environments that allow them to breed. We constantly strive to improve our display methods so that we can bring out the best in the animals and allow as many visitors as possible to learn about their ecology. We also contribute to wildlife conservation through the breeding and research of rare animals.

Education and outreach work

In the field of education and outreach, we provide opportunities for people to learn about animals and their habitats in a fun way through various activities both inside and outside the zoo. We are actively engaged in a wide range of activities, including event planning and collaboration with schools.

Coordinator's job

The coordinator's duties are wide-ranging, including formulating animal collection plans in line with the zoo's exhibition plans, negotiating and completing legal procedures and preparing for transportation regarding the import and export of animals, managing animal records, pedigree registration, coordinating with zoos both in Japan and abroad, and procuring animal feed and managing inventory.
