We would like to inform you of the following regarding Giant Panda "Ri Ri" and "Shin Shin," and their two cubs "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei," who were born on June 23, 2021.
Lili's current situation
Li Li's health is good.
We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed.
We are also training Leelee to be able to have her blood pressure measured. We haven't been able to measure it yet, but progress is going well. We are conducting regular blood tests, and no major abnormalities have been found.
We mainly keep them indoors in an air-conditioned environment, but as temperatures have dropped and cooler days are becoming more frequent, we are making preparations to release them outdoors.
As of September 25, 2023, Leelee's weight was measured at 137.7 kg.

Shinshin's current situation
As
previously announced, Shin Shin's blood pressure was found to be elevated. To allow for thorough health monitoring, the exhibit has been closed since 11:30 AM on September 20th.
Currently, we are continuing to monitor her health by regularly measuring her blood pressure while administering medication, and we are carefully adjusting the dosage and other aspects of her condition. To ensure more stable blood pressure measurements, we have trimmed some of the fur on her left arm, but Shinshin does not seem to mind.
We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. There have been no particular changes in their foraging or behavior, and they are doing well.
We will inform you of the reopening date of the exhibition as soon as it is decided.
As of September 25, 2023, Shinshin's weight was measured at 127.0 kg.

Updates on Xiaoxiao and Leilei
Both animals are in good health and feeding condition.
They are fed mainly bamboo such as moso bamboo, shinotake bamboo, and Madake bamboo, with side dishes such as panda dumplings, carrots, and apples given as needed.
We mainly keep them indoors in an air-conditioned environment, but as temperatures have dropped and cooler days are becoming more frequent, we are making preparations to release them outdoors.
Xiao Xiao began Eurasian Moorhen training (*) on July 16, 2023, and Lei Lei began on July 21, 2023. Through repeated training, it will become possible to safely and with minimal stress on the pandas to perform health management such as touching their bodies and taking blood samples. Currently, both pandas can sit holding onto the fence in front of the staff acting as trainers and touch the tip of their noses to a target stick. As the next step, they are being trained to extend their arms in response to the staff's signals at the actual blood sampling site.
We've marked Xiao Xiao's back to allow us to review video footage of her nighttime activities and to clearly identify her in surveillance camera footage. She doesn't seem to mind the mark.
