Updated October 2, 2023Giant Panda Shin Shin's exhibit was temporarily suspended for health monitoring, and
as announced on September 28, she is currently being monitored and given medication. She will be back on display from October 3.
There have been no particular changes in feeding or behavior, and everything is fine. However, we are continuing to monitor its health, including administering medication and regularly measuring its blood pressure, so for the time being, we will start the exhibit around 11:00 AM.
Announcement dated September 21, 2023Regarding Shin Shin, Giant Panda at Ueno Zoo, her blood pressure was measured on September 20th and 21st and was found to be elevated. Therefore, we will be conducting thorough health monitoring and will be suspending her exhibit for approximately 10 days.
The three horses, "Li Li," "Xiao Xiao," and "Lei Lei," can be viewed as usual.
