Two Corriedale dogs have joined the family.
└─2011/12/23

Ueno Zoo Two sheep from Saitama Prefecture Children's Zoo came to the Children's Zoo. They are young females of the Corridale breed, with a slightly smaller body size. Their names are Belle and Alice.

They are old sheep, born in 2002, and this summer they were sick and spent the whole day indoors with a fan blowing in the wind. So we were looking for a younger individual, and he is coming to us from Saitama Children's Zoo and Nature Park.

At Nakayoshi Picnic Area, where Belle and Alice will join their friends, Goat, sheep and chickens are on the loose and visitors to the park are free to interact with them.
What is expected of the animals in this plaza is that they are used to people and docile, but two of them were so timid that they were afraid of people, and if you just reached out to touch them, they would cuddle up to you and run away. On their first day in the plaza, they were chased by energetic children and looked troubled at the corner of the plaza. It will take some time for them to get used to it. If you see them in the square, please touch them gently.
