We would like to inform you of the following regarding Giant Panda "Ri Ri" and "Shin Shin," and their two cubs "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei," who were born on June 23, 2021.
Lili's current situation
There have been no major changes in RiRi's health.
Since November 28, 2023, we have continued to monitor the animal's blood pressure regularly and administer medication, while also making adjustments to the dosage to improve its hypertension. In examinations conducted on April 22, 2024, including CT scans, ultrasound (echography), and endoscopy, as well as blood samples, no obvious abnormalities that could be causing vomiting were found. We will continue to monitor the animal's health and strive to provide proper care. Regarding the area where the fur was shaved for the examination, the animal showed some temporary discomfort a few days later, but the fur has gradually grown back, and it is now hardly bothered by it.
We change the animals' location depending on their condition and the weather. As the number of hot days is increasing, we may allow them to move freely between indoor and outdoor areas.
We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. We also started feeding them bamboo shoots on April 22nd, and they have responded well.
As of May 15, 2024, Leelee's weight was measured at 137.4 kg.

Shinshin's current situation
There have been no major changes in Shinshin's health.
Since September 20, 2023, I have continued to monitor my blood pressure regularly and take medication, while also continuing efforts to improve my hypertension, such as adjusting the dosage of my medication.
Construction to screen the area between outdoor enclosures A and B, which was necessary for the change in the exhibit method for Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei, was completed on May 8th, and the exhibit reopened on May 9th. They are managed to have free access to the restricted area, so they may not always be visible. Also, with the increasing number of warm days, they are spending more time indoors in the restricted area. There are no particular abnormalities in their feeding or behavior, and they are in good condition.
We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. We also started feeding them bamboo shoots on May 14th, and they have responded well.
As of May 15, 2024, Shinshin's weight was measured at 121.7 kg.

Xiao Xiao's latest news
Xiaoxiao's health is good.
On May 7th, we swapped locations for Lei Lei and Lei, and she is currently being kept in both Outdoor Enclosure D and Indoor Exhibit Room 3. We also change her location depending on the animal's condition and the weather. As the number of warmer days increases, we sometimes allow her to move freely between indoor and outdoor areas.

Xiao Xiao began Eurasian Moorhen training (*) on July 16, 2023. Through repeated training, it will become possible to safely handle her body and take blood samples, etc., with less stress for the panda, as part of her health management. Currently, she is continuing training to keep her mouth open.
The green markings on its back are still faintly visible, but they are gradually fading.
