We would like to inform you of the following regarding Giant Panda "Ri Ri" and "Shin Shin," and their two cubs "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei," who were born on June 23, 2021.

Lili's current situation

There have been no major changes in RiRi's health.

Since November 28, 2023, we have continued to monitor his blood pressure regularly and administer medication, while also making adjustments to the dosage and taking other measures to improve his hypertension. The area where his fur was shaved during the examination on April 22, 2024, has grown back considerably and is no longer noticeable. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it anymore.

Due to the continued high temperatures, we are mainly keeping them indoors in an air-conditioned environment. There are no particular abnormalities in their feeding or behavior, and they are in good condition.

We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. Also, because of the continued high temperatures, we gave them ice made from juice on June 24th, and they responded well.

As of June 15, 2024, Leelee's weight was measured at 139.5 kg.

Shinshin's current situation

There have been no major changes in Shinshin's health.

Since September 20, 2023, I have continued to monitor my blood pressure regularly and take medication, while also continuing efforts to improve my hypertension, such as adjusting the dosage of my medication.

Due to the continued high temperatures, the animal has been spending most of its time indoors in an air-conditioned, non-public area, and has been rarely seen. There are no particular abnormalities in its feeding or behavior, and it is in good condition.

We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. Also, because of the continued high temperatures, we gave them ice made from juice on June 24th, and they responded well.

As of June 15, 2024, Shinshin's weight was measured at 128.2 kg.

Xiao Xiao's latest news

Xiaoxiao's health is good.

On June 3rd and June 18th, we swapped locations for Lei Lei and Lei, and she is currently being kept in outdoor enclosure D and indoor exhibit room 3. Due to the continued high temperatures, she is primarily being kept in the air-conditioned indoor area. There are no particular abnormalities in her feeding or behavior; she is in good condition.

We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed. Also, because of the continued high temperatures, we gave them ice made from juice on June 24th, and they responded well.

Xiao Xiao has been undergoing Eurasian Moorhen training (*) since July 16, 2023. Through repeated training, it will become possible to safely manage the panda's health by touching its body with minimal stress. Currently, the training is mainly focused on blood sampling.

The green markings on its back are still faintly visible, but they are gradually fading.

Training animals to exhibit spontaneous behavior is aimed at ensuring their healthy living and safe working conditions for humans.
