Activity Report Part 1)
But there are still so many things I don't know and so many things I'm curious about regarding pandas... I need to learn even more about pandas to create this pamphlet!
animal keeper!
The panda animal keeper surely know the most about pandas! The panda ambassadors became reporters for one day and interviewed animal keeper Hirota. As ambassadors, they had a valuable opportunity to hear many stories. Everyone listened intently, and they also got to see the bamboo that the pandas eat and the refrigerator specifically for the bamboo, making further discoveries about what kind of animals pandas are.
Afterward, we all did a "reflection" and "summary." We asked everyone to freely write down what they understood, discovered, and found interesting, and we summarized while also considering what we would like to include in the pamphlet.

Interview with a panda animal keeper
Let's learn more about the physical characteristics and lifestyle of pandas!
In the third workshop, we began by observing the pandas while listening to explanations from Animal Guide. We observed Giant Panda "Ri Ri" and "Shin Shin" in their enclosure, reviewing what we had learned in the previous session. We observed them in detail, noting how they eat bamboo and how far their fur extends down their legs, as this would be useful for the subsequent workshops.
Next up was a panda experience. We pretended to be eating bamboo, crushing it with pliers, examining teeth using specimens, and comparing panda droppings to bamboo... We learned more about the physical characteristics and ecology of pandas.

Panda experience guided by Animal GuideThe ambassadors, who made many discoveries this time as well, held a "Children's Panda Meeting" to summarize what they particularly wanted to convey from their many previous discoveries and create a pamphlet. They worked hard together, discussing and thinking about what kind of pamphlet to make and what kind of features to include to make it enjoyable to read.
Next time, we'll finally unveil the brochure! It's so exciting and nerve-wracking; we're almost there!
