We would like to inform you of the following regarding Giant Panda "Ri Ri" and "Shin Shin," who are scheduled to be returned on September 29, 2024, and their two cubs "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei," who were born on June 23, 2021.

Lili's current situation

There have been no major changes in RiRi's health.

Currently, the animal is being kept in an air-conditioned room, and quarantine procedures such as X-rays and blood tests are being conducted before the start of viewing hours, and everything is progressing smoothly. There are no particular abnormalities in its feeding or behavior, and it is in good condition.

Furthermore, since November 28, 2023, we have continued to monitor my blood pressure regularly and administer medication, while also continuing efforts to improve my hypertension, such as adjusting the dosage of my medication.

We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed.

As of September 15, 2024, Leelee's weight was measured at 134.7 kg.

Shinshin's current situation

Furthermore, since September 20, 2023, we have continued to monitor his blood pressure regularly and administer medication, while also continuing efforts to improve his hypertension, such as adjusting the dosage of his medication. We are also continuing to monitor the condition of the cloudy areas in his eyes that have been observed since July 28, while administering eye drops.

We primarily feed them bamboo such as Moso bamboo, Shino bamboo, and Madake bamboo, and supplement their diet with panda dumplings, carrots, and apples as needed.

As of September 15, 2024, Shinshin's weight was measured at 122.5 kg.

Xiao Xiao's latest news

With the start of quarantine for Ri Ri and Shin Shin, they are now staying indoors in the non-public area where Shin Shin was originally kept. There are no particular abnormalities in their feeding or behavior, and they are in good condition.

They are fed mainly bamboo such as moso bamboo, shinotake bamboo, and Madake bamboo, with side dishes such as panda dumplings, carrots, and apples given as needed.

Xiao Xiao has been undergoing Eurasian Moorhen training (*) since July 16, 2023. Through repeated training, it will become possible to safely manage the health of pandas by touching them with minimal stress. Currently, training has been temporarily suspended due to the start of quarantine for Ri Ri and Shin Shin.

The green markings on its back are still faintly visible, but they are gradually fading.

Lei Lei has been undergoing Eurasian Moorhen training since July 21, 2023. Like Xiao Xiao, her training has been temporarily suspended due to the start of quarantine for Li Li and Xin Xin.
