Giant Panda cub was born at Ueno Zoo on June 12, 2017 (
Announcement).
Since then, its weight has more than quadrupled compared to when it was born, and it is growing up healthy and strong (see the article link below).

The baby was confirmed to be female on June 23rd. We have already received many inquiries about naming her, and we are currently preparing for a public naming contest that will begin on Friday, July 28th, 2017. Submissions will be accepted via a submission box and the internet.
