this news, a name selection committee was held.

Selection processFrom all the submitted entries (322,581), the selection committee selected eight candidates from the top 100 entries with the most submissions, after checking for duplication with existing trademarks and excluding names of existing pandas, specific product names, and personal names, through a vote by the committee members.
Name selectionFrom the eight candidates selected by the selection committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will decide on the name after consultations with China and other parties.
Please note that submitted works may be revised or edited, such as by adding kanji characters.
announcementWe will decide on a name and announce it around the end of September, when the baby will be 100 days old.
