On September 10, 2017, from 10:34 to 10:55 AM, the 11th physical examination was conducted for Shin Shin, Giant Panda cub at Ueno Zoo, as she reached 90 days old. Her weight increased by approximately 0.9 kg since August 31 to 5.4 kg. Her body length also increased by 6.9 cm compared to August 31 to 62.4 cm. She is growing well.

The strength in its limbs has increased significantly, and it can be seen briefly lifting its body and bracing itself with its forelegs to move forward, but it is not yet able to stand firmly on all four legs.
Its eyesight doesn't seem to be fully developed yet, but it appears to recognize things in front of it to some extent. We were also able to confirm that it has upper and lower canine teeth on both sides. Its molars still seem to be inside its gums.

Mother Shin Shin is spending time with her cub in the birthing room. She is taking good care of the cub as usual, licking its body, nursing it, and encouraging it to defecate. The rest of the time, Shin Shin is resting and eating. Currently, the cub is eating bamboo shoots, bamboo grass, bamboo grass, apples, carrots, and "panda dumplings," and its feeding situation remains good.
On September 5th, we weighed Shin Shin for the first time since she was born. She weighed 123.6 kilograms, which is almost the same as before she was born.
We will continue to monitor the mother and child 24 hours a day. On September 20, 2017, the baby will reach 100 days old, and a physical examination will be conducted.
