The strength in its hind legs has increased further, and it can now walk on all fours, albeit unsteadily, for short distances. Its eyes have also become more alert, but it is not yet possible to determine how far it can see. In addition, it has been confirmed that other teeth, such as premolars, have started to erupt, along with the upper and lower canines.

Mother Shin Shin spends all day indoors with her offspring. She licks her baby, nurses it, helps it defecate, and takes good care of it, while resting and eating the rest of the time.

Until the end of August, both mother and baby stayed in the birthing room, but from September 4th onwards, they were allowed to move freely between Indoor Exhibition Room 2 and the birthing room. Shin Shin moves around sometimes with her baby, and sometimes by herself.

The system in which staff stayed overnight to monitor the mother and child ended on the evening of September 17th. Going forward, observation will continue using video recordings and other methods. Physical examinations will also be conducted as needed. For the time being, physical examinations will be conducted approximately every 10 days, but this schedule may change depending on the child's condition.
