Xiang Xiang during her physical examination
Xiang Xiang walking around in the birthing room
Her gait has become more stable, and she can now climb over low steps, so she has started walking around the birthing room. She can also be seen playing with Shinshin. We can now clearly see Shinshin and the staff following with their eyes, suggesting that their vision has improved significantly. Additionally, their teeth, including the canines on the top and bottom, and the molars on the front and back, grow longer, and they can sometimes be seen chewing on the bamboo their mother is eating.
Shin Shin and Xiang Xiang
Mother Shin Shin continues to spend her days indoors with her offspring. She diligently cares for her baby by licking it, nursing it, and helping it defecate, while also resting and eating the rest of the time.
Until the end of August, both mother and baby stayed in the birthing room, but now they are free to come and go from indoor exhibition room 2 and the bedroom throughout the day (they are not open to the public). Room 3 is also accessible during the daytime. The mother, Xing Xing, has been seen in these rooms breastfeeding her offspring, resting while leaving them behind, and foraging for food. They are being fed bamboo, dwarf bamboo, apples, carrots, and panda dumplings, and their feeding situation is good.
