Xiang Xiang's gait has become much more steady, and she can be seen walking around the birthing room and indoor exhibit area, even overcoming low steps. She is also often seen following her mother (Shin Shin) around and playing with her, and Shin Shin skillfully uses her front paws to play with Xiang Xiang.
Also, although she doesn't eat them yet, you can sometimes see Xiang Xiang nibbling on the bamboo her mother is eating.
Shin Shin and Xiang Xiang
Shin Shin continues to stay indoors and is currently free to enter and exit indoor exhibit room 2 and her bedroom throughout the day (they are not open to the public). She is also allowed to enter indoor exhibit room 3 during the daytime.
Xiang Xiang is not yet able to move from the birthing room to the indoor exhibit on her own, but she is sometimes carried there by her mother.
Shinshin cares for her baby by licking its body, nursing it about twice a day, and helping it excrete. The rest of the time, it alternates between resting and foraging. They are being fed bamboo, dwarf bamboo, apples, carrots, and panda dumplings, and their feeding situation is good.
