Giant Panda Xiang Xiang, born on June 12, 2017, turned 180 days old on December 9. A physical examination conducted around 8:45 AM on December 9 revealed her weight was 12.3 kg, an increase of 0.9 kg from 11.4 kg on November 29. Her length was not measured.
Mother cub Shin Shin and Xiang Xiang spend their days in indoor exhibit rooms 2 and 3, as well as the outdoor exercise area. At night, they spend their time in indoor exhibit rooms 2 and 3, as well as their sleeping quarters. On days when the park is closed or before opening hours, the shutters are opened and closed as part of training to help them get used to being viewed by the public (they are not currently on public display).
Xiang Xiang spends her days awake for 1-3 hours and then sleeping for 3-4 hours. When she's awake, she walks around the room and climbs on trees and door bars. When it's time to sleep, she lies down quietly in a corner of the room.
He sometimes spends a total of about an hour and a half in the outdoor exercise area, and compared to mid-November when he first went outside, he seems to be spending time there without feeling anxious about his surroundings.
Shin Shin takes care of Xiang Xiang by licking her body, nursing her once or twice a day, and helping her with her bowel movements. Shin Shin often eats bamboo, bamboo grass, apples, carrots, and panda dumplings.
