Starting April 23, 2019 (Tuesday), exhibition hours will be extended from 9:30 AM until one hour before closing time.The hours of operation are as follows.
In winter, the hours will be extended to 3:30 p.m.
The hours will be extended in order to keep an eye on the animals' condition.
*The hours may be temporarily suspended due to the animals' physical condition or other reasons.

BackgroundAs a member of Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums, a public interest incorporated association, the Park has been participating in the Ministry of the Environment's Rock Ptarmigan ex situ conservation project since FY2015, and has been working on breeding and propagation in cooperation with zoos and research institutions in Japan.
It has now been decided by the national conservation and propagation project review committee that the species will be exhibited publicly at five facilities in Japan, including our zoo. Therefore, we have decided to exhibit the Japanese Rock Ptarmigan at our zoo to ensure a better breeding environment for this species and to spread awareness of conservation efforts.
