Xiang Xiang, a female Giant Panda born at Ueno Zoo on June 12, 2017, was to be returned to China, which holds ownership, by May 31, 2021, according to an agreement between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the China Wildlife Conservation Association. However, in light of the situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the return deadline has been extended as follows.

　Return deadline: December 31, 2021

The specific return date and the end date for viewing will be announced separately.
