In light of the COVID-19 situation, Ueno Zoo has established "New Ways to Enjoy the Zoo." We ask that you please abide by these rules when visiting the zoo.
Before you visit the park──
- Please take your temperature at home, and refrain from visiting the park if you have a fever (37.5°C or higher), cold symptoms such as a cough, or are feeling unwell.
Upon entering the park—
- Upon entering the park, please disinfect your hands and the soles of your shoes using the disinfectant mat.
When viewing within the park:
- Wearing a mask is recommended in crowded places.
*Wearing a mask in hot weather carries a risk of heatstroke. Please maintain social distancing and remove your mask as needed.
*Staff members may remove their masks while working to prevent heatstroke. - Please cooperate by washing your hands frequently.
- Please watch quietly without raising your voice.
- Please refrain from standing in one place for extended periods while viewing the exhibits.
- Please refrain from eating while waiting in line.
- Please refrain from touching the animals or exhibits.
- Please refrain from knocking on the glass of the exhibition facility.
- Please do not feed the animals.
- When taking photographs, please be considerate of other visitors and avoid obstructing their view.
- During crowded times, please be considerate of others and take turns viewing the exhibits.
In shops and restaurants──
- Please avoid visiting the gift shop during peak hours.
- Please keep your meals at restaurants and other establishments brief.
- Please keep conversations to a minimum.
- Please use a credit card or electronic money for payment whenever possible.
