The new facility, "Asian Plains," will open to the public on April 26th!
└─2013/04/16

A new facility called "Asian Plains" will open at Tama Zoo.

Release date and time: Friday, April 26, 2013, from 1:00 PM (scheduled)

◎Features of the new facility "Asian Plains"

In the "Plains of Asia" exhibit, we will be raising and displaying together Przewalski's Horse horses (see news here), which were donated to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Mongolia, and Common Wolf, which are extinct in Japan.

Przewalski's Horse 's horse, once extinct in the wild, is the only wild horse species in the world that is being bred and reintroduced to the wild thanks to the efforts of relevant organizations. Watching them gallop around in the spacious enclosure is reminiscent of their wild state. Next to them, you can see a pack of Common Wolf up close.
