└─ 2023/02/02 (Updated 04/09)
 * Three cheetahs will be on public display starting April 10, 2023 (Monday). Please check the notice board in front of Cheetah enclosure for viewing times.

We are pleased to announce that three Cheetah arrived at our zoo on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from two zoos in the United States.

Two male hamsters, Kevin (5 years old, born at the park on November 24, 2017) and Damian (5 years old, born at the park on November 24, 2017), have arrived from Lee G. Simmons Wild Safari Park (Nebraska), and one female hamster, Bastet (4 years old, born at the park on August 25, 2018), has arrived from The Wilds (Ohio).

At Tama Zoo, we are working to breed rare animals through mutual cooperation among our zoos and facilities. This time, in order to create new pairs and breed this species within our park and in Japan, we were considering introducing individuals from overseas, and we have now received a donation of three individuals from a zoo in the United States.

Please note that the three animals will be off-limits to the public for a while. The public viewing dates will be announced on Tama Zoo official website as soon as they are decided.
