Regarding pathological examinations of Pacific Bluefin Tuna, etc.
└─2015/01/20

As previously announced, Pacific Bluefin Tuna, Kawakawa, Striped Bonito exhibited at Tokyo Sea Life Park 's "Voyagers of the Sea: Tuna" tank have been dying since December 2014. Because disease is a possible cause of death, we have sent samples to multiple research institutions for pathological examination. Today, January 20th, one of these institutions reported the detection of a virus.
We will continue to comprehensively investigate the cause of death, taking into account the results of tests conducted by other institutions.

(1) Pathology test results
Since the virus was detected in all the samples sent for pathological examination (Pacific Bluefin Tuna: 2 samples, Kawakawa: 1 sample), we are currently working to identify the virus.

(2) Current exhibited animals (As of 3:00 PM on January 20, 2015)
