The scorching summer heat has passed, and the cool mornings and evenings now signal the arrival of autumn. The daytime temperatures have also become more pleasant, and the park is bustling with many visitors.
In
an article dated June 9, 2014, we announced that Inokashira Park Zoo Zoo would be taking a break from the pile of fallen leaves in the "Creature Plaza" area in preparation for the emergence of Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle.
Thanks to everyone's cooperation, Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle successfully matured into adults, and many people enjoyed observing Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle during our summer activities. Currently, the summer insects have completely disappeared, and we are seeing autumn insects such as crickets and grasshoppers.
Therefore, we have reopened the piles of fallen leaves from September. At this time of year, you can find small Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle larvae and longhorn beetle larvae. Try digging up the soil and searching for them.
We'll be holding events every Sunday in October as well. We look forward to seeing you!
