July 7th is Tanabata (the Star Festival). Ueno Zoo will be holding a "Tanabata Event" from July 5th (Tuesday) to July 10th (Sunday).

As Ueno Zoo celebrates its 140th anniversary, we want to protect this beautiful planet and pass it on to future generations. We have prepared Tanabata bamboo decorations and strips of paper for writing wishes, so please write your wishes for "the future of the Earth," "the future of the animals," and "the future of Ueno Zoo."
