On October 23rd, Panda Day, a commemorative event will be held: "Become a full-body panda with a mask and tail!"
└─ Ueno 2016/10/13

Ueno Zoological Gardens designated October 28th as "Panda Day" in 2012, commemorating the arrival of Japan's first Giant Panda, "Lan Lan" and "Kan Kan," on October 28, 1972.

To commemorate "Panda Day," we will be holding a workshop called "Become a Panda with a Mask and a Tail!" where you can make animal tails out of newspaper.

Together with the newly appointed third-generation "Ueno Panda Ambassador," we hope to create an opportunity for everyone to become even more familiar with pandas and celebrate "Panda Day" together. Please stop by!
