To commemorate the 6th anniversary of the arrival of Giant Panda Ri Ri (male) and Shin Shin (female) on February 21, 2011, we will be holding an unveiling event for a panda brochure created with the help of the "Ueno Panda Ambassador," as well as an event where participants can create original business cards using panda paper.
This pamphlet is a compilation of information that panda ambassadors have learned about the characteristics and physical structure of pandas, presented in an easy-to-understand format.
Furthermore, through creating business cards, you can learn in a fun way about preserving the global environment so that diverse wildlife, including the forests that serve as panda habitats, can live together with humans.
Please join us!
*Lee Lee and Shin Shin will be arriving on February 21st, but since it falls on a weekday this year, a commemorative event will be held on February 19th.

About Ueno Panda Ambassador
We are eight elementary school students who love pandas. We were selected in August 2016 through a public application process as the third generation of goodwill ambassadors to spread the charm of pandas. This time, we will celebrate the 6th anniversary of Ri Ri and Shin Shin's arrival at the zoo together throughout the entire event.
About Panda Paper
Ueno Zoo always prepares several types of bamboo for the pandas to eat, but it is still not possible to accurately predict the type and amount of bamboo the pandas will eat on any given day. "Panda Paper" is made by recycling bamboo that has lost its freshness or that has been left uneaten.
