Visit Hot Zoo 2019 "Ueno de Nippon!"

Ueno Zoo will be hosting an event titled "Let's Take a Look at Japan's Creatures: What's Amazing About Them!!" as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Zoo and Aquarium's winter campaign, "Visit Hot Zoo 2019," focusing on the creatures that live in Japan.

Japan is home to many different kinds of creatures, and you can observe a variety of Japanese animals at our park. This event will allow you to feel closer to Japanese wildlife and learn even more about their charm, so please join us!

Event 1: "Ueno de Nippon! Keyword Rally"

Period: January 10 (Thu) - March 3 (Sun), 2019

How to Participate
(1) We will distribute "Ueno de Nippon!" event leaflets in the park, so please have them handy.
In addition to the recommended spots for Japanese creatures that can be observed at our park, the leaflet will introduce the creatures that live in Japan and the diversity of the environment they live in in an easy-to-understand manner.

■Distribution location [East Garden] front gate, Gneral Information Center
【West Garden】Bentenmon Gate, Ikenohata Gate, Vivarium (Vivarium)

(2) Install a panel with animal keeper 's key points and keywords in the exhibition area of the target animal. Go around the target animals with the event leaflet and collect the keywords in the panel.
There are two rally courses (East Garden: "North to South" course for Japanese creatures and West Garden: "Various Habitations" course for Japanese creatures), so please complete your keywords on either course.

Ezo Sika Deer, Red-crowned Crane, Japanese Macaque (Monkey Mountain), Japanese Black Bear, Lidth's Jay (Japanese Bird I.)
[West Garden: Japanese creatures "Various Habitats" course]
Small Mammal House(Large Japanese Field Mouse、Orii Flying Fox)、Vivarium(Japanese Giant Salamander、Japanese Tree Frog、Japanese Ratsnake)

How to apply for the benefits
*Applications are now closed.
After participating in the keyword rally and answering an optional survey, we will randomly select winners to receive wonderful prizes related to animals that live in Japan.

*The personal information you provide when applying will only be used for communication regarding this event.
Furthermore, we will strictly manage personal information, including data storage and deletion.

* Each person may only enter once during the campaign period. You can enter using the keyword for one of the two courses.
Winners will be notified by the delivery of their prizes (scheduled for early April 2019).



Event 2: "Ueno de Nippon! A Talk Tour by animal keeper"

Date and time: January 18th (Friday), February 1st (Friday), February 15th (Friday), 2019
Each day from 2:30 PM to 3:10 PM [Cancelled in case of severe weather]


Meeting place In front of the monkey enclosure East Garden (location marked with a "★" in the diagram below)
*If you wish to participate, please come to the meeting place by the start time.

Capacity First 20 people
*Please refrain from participating in school events or in groups of 10 or more people.

Content
A talk tour in East Garden where zookeepers will explain the "Animals that live in Japan" exhibit in a relay format.
*We will visit the area in the following order: Japanese Macaque, Ezo Sika Deer, and Lidth's Jay.



*This event is being held as part of the "Hot Event" of the "Visit Hot Zoo 2019" winter campaign at Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums.
