Bird House and birdcages in East Garden of Ueno Zoo are facilities that embody the diversity of birds, housing and breeding various bird species from both Japan and abroad. Many visitors enjoyed being able to observe birds up close.
This facility was planned as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Ueno Zoo opening, completed in 1984, and this year marks its 40th anniversary since opening. With gratitude for the support these facilities have provided to Ueno Zoo 's bird exhibits, conveying the wonder and fascination of living creatures through the diverse appearances and behaviors of birds,
"Thank you, Bird House Exhibition" will be held.

ContentDue to the aging of the facility and the need for reconstruction, Bird House will be closing on Wednesday, June 18th. Photographs of the birds kept in these cages and related materials will be on display.
