Tama Zoo will be closed for the New Year's holiday from December 29, 2019 (Sunday) to January 1, 2020 (Wednesday/National Holiday). It will reopen on January 2, 2020 (Thursday).
We will be holding various events, so please come and join us. We will also be holding events related to the Chinese zodiac.

1. A welcome from director and animals in animal costumes.

director will give a New Year's greeting, and costumed animals will welcome all visitors!

2. New Year's Special: Mouse True/False Quiz

Answer true or false questions about the rat, the animal of the Chinese zodiac. The last person to complete the quiz will receive a prize. Let's learn about rats while having fun with the quiz.

3. guided tour of the Chinese zodiac: "The Rats of Tama"

The theme is "Rodents," and Animal Guide will talk about the rodents we keep and exhibit, as well as the wild mice in the park.

4. keeper talk: "Guinea Pig"

5. Gifts from the gift shop

Customers who purchase items at the park's gift shop will receive a special "Zodiac Pin Badge" (not for sale) as a gift.

We will be giving away disposable hand warmers to all visitors.

7. Annual Crested Ibis

At gift shops, restaurants, and food shops within Tokyo Metropolitan Zoos and Aquariums (including ours), Customers who present an annual pass We will give you a 5% discount on your total bill.

Period: January 2nd (Thu) to January 31st (Fri), 2020 (excluding park closing days).
