Summer Night @ Tama Zoo 2022

Tama Zoo will hold the "Summer Night @Tama Zoo 2022" on designated days in August, extending the opening hours by 3 hours and opening until 8 p.m. Please enjoy the cool park slowly.

*The park opens at 9:30 a.m. as usual.
*The night opening on Saturday, August 13 will be canceled due to the approach of Typhoon No. 8.

*Animals other than those listed above will generally be on display until around 8 PM, but may be taken to their sleeping quarters earlier for health management reasons. For more details, please refer to the flyers and notices distributed in the park on the day of your visit.
*The last Lion Bus departs at 4:48 PM, but ticket sales will end once tickets are sold out.

Restaurant and gift shop operations
We will be extending the operating hours of our restaurants and gift shops. Enjoy a meal or drink while exploring the park on a summer evening.

About the event
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will not be holding the various events that we usually hold this year.

Requests and Precautions for All Visitors
  1. Animal exhibits may be canceled or changed depending on the animals' condition, weather, etc.
  2. Some areas will be closed to the public after the animals' exhibit hours have ended.
  3. Please refrain from using flash photography on animals.
  4. Do not point flashlights or other lights at animals; use them only to illuminate your feet.
  5. Please refrain from using insect repellent products in the insectarium.
  6. There is no parking available at our park. Nearby parking lots are expected to be crowded, so we recommend using public transportation.


We're looking for animal coloring pages to brighten up your summer nights! (July 28th - August 9th)

During the Summer Night event, we will be accepting submissions of animal coloring pages to decorate the park's streetlights.
Choose your favorite picture from the 8 different coloring pages, color it in, and complete your artwork.


Decorate your garden lights with fun coloring pages.

How to apply
Take a picture of the completed coloring page, and #TamazooNuraNight Please post on Twitter using the hashtag "[hashtag]". We look forward to seeing your posts.

 Application period: From July 28th (Thursday) to August 9th (Tuesday) (submissions accepted until this date)

Please keep your air conditioners on at home and take precautions against heatstroke while conserving energy.
