In the past, Inokashira Pond was a rich pond supported by abundant spring water, teeming with diverse life. However, in recent years, the pond's environment has changed dramatically, and the types of creatures that can be seen there have also changed significantly. Therefore, citizens and the local government worked together to restore Inokashira Pond to its former glory, and three "draining" projects were carried out between 2014 and 2017. Five years have passed since then, so how has Inokashira Pond changed?
This
special exhibition, "The Changing Inokashira Pond," will introduce the creatures and environment of Inokashira Pond before and after the draining, and how they continue to change year by year afterward. We hope to think together with you about what we can do to bring Inokashira Pond closer to its "ideal state."
