The child was spotted at 12:38 PM on June 12, 2017 (around noon).
Mating behavior between Shin Shin and the male "Ri Ri" was observed on February 27, 2017 (Announcement). Subsequently, changes consistent with pregnancy appeared, so public viewing was suspended from May 25, 2017, and her condition was observed (Announcement).
Since the evening of June 10th, Shinshin has been observed pacing restlessly around the room. Following consultations with experts invited from China, staff have been carefully observing her 24 hours a day since June 11th.
